3 Year Pupil Premium Strategy
Academic year/years that our current pupil premium strategy plan covers – 2021/22 – 2024/2025
Our Philosophy
At Egglescliffe C.E Primary school, we have high aspirations and ambitions for our children and we believe that no child should be left behind. We strongly believe that it is not about where you come from but your passion and thirst for knowledge, and your dedication and commitment to learning that make the difference between success and failure, and we are determined to ensure that our children are given every chance to realise their full potential. We intend to maximise the use of the pupil premium grant (PPG) by utilising a long-term strategy aligned to the school improvement plan (SIP). This will enable us to implement a blend of short, medium and long-term interventions, and align pupil premium use with wider school improvements and improving readiness to learn. Overcoming barriers to learning is at the heart of our PPG use. We understand that needs and costs will differ depending on the barriers to learning being addressed. As such, we do not automatically allocate personal budgets per pupil in receipt of the PPG. Instead, we identify the barrier to be addressed and the interventions required, whether in small groups, large groups, the whole school or as individuals, and allocate a budget accordingly.
